Aspiring Dreams

Aspiring Dreams

Children Books

The Goal is to successfully make series of children stories, with Frankie as the main character.  Who is experiencing some growing pains after moving to a new forest.

Lets see how he learns to deal with issues as they arise.

Frankie will have to deal with social, environmental, emotional, and physical situations,

Woodworking

Homesteading

The Goal is to successfully learn a skill set people would consider above the average person in the craft. A cut above the rest, with 10k hours of progress.  Confirmed by custom work being being Sold or Commissioned.

Ideally I would like to learn high level joinery and epoxy work, with possibly a flare of integrated tech.  Proof of concept being heirloom quality furniture and/or Custom Cabinetry.

Goal is to successfully feed my family 80% or more by food grown or raised on our own property, minimize expenses as close to zero-sum.

Learn the basics of the wide variety of skills needed to maintain a piece of property in this manner.

Most importantly, slow down and enjoy the journey with those I hold close.

ABOUT US

ABOUT US

Welcome, my name is Scott, so let me share a few things about myself and explain the reasoning for all the hullabaloo.

Like most people I think, some where along the lines I started doing more things I had to instead of chasing the things I dreamed about doing.  Which isn't totally bad, but as time passed I convinced myself I couldn't and felt like had to wait for some magic day to come when I would be told dreams were allowed again.

Clearly life doesn't have a framework to that degree, or I lost mine in translation and I became bitter because of it.  So fought my place in life and became my own worse enemy for 20 years.

Later at the spry age of 39, I became a father, and again at 40, I was a proper man with a career, wife, 2 kids, a family dog, with a mortgage, the whole package.

So after years of retrospect, I slowly started to learn again and become adaptable.  Then unabating itch came deep in my brain, a feeling I couldn't shake, something which I felt deep in my core, and I dared not deny it anymore.

How do I show my children how to chase their lofty dreams, when their father wouldn't even attempt his, how can I make their memories of me be a foundation of values, hard-work, fearless pursuit of his dreams?

Here we are, a boy from the mountains of North Carolina, who moved to the big city only to move back to his home town, with wife and kids in tow.

Finally, telling myself its time to dream again, and become the best version of myself for my children.

-Penny & Paddy,  Words can not express how you turned me into a better man, thank you.  Daddy will always love you.
